- **State tabs** (ALL/NSW/VIC/QLD/WA/SA/TAS/ACT/NT) to filter by state
- **Party filters** (ALP/LNP/GRN/IND/OTH) to filter by party
- **Search** by name or electorate
- **Retire button** on each MP — greys them out and frees up their seat
- **Restore button** to bring retired MPs back
- **Add Custom Candidate** panel — pick a name, choose from vacant seats, select any party (ALP/LNP/Greens/Independent/Other)
- **Live tally** showing Active/Retired/Custom/Vacant counts
- Party affiliations match the 48th Parliament status (e.g. Barnaby Joyce as OTH/One Nation, Bob Katter as OTH)

The commentary was also updated for the 2028 election context (references to Angus Taylor as Opposition Leader, Labor defending their majority, etc).
